Caution: Very wordy post. Click on any of the links if you think my post will bore you out.
Okay, net's down since friday evening.
But it's alright now(:
Friday's a really good day((:
Because there weren't any class and it's orientation day for those who had signed up for dragonboat during the cca fair on the 10th.
Really happy that there were four more girls joining us and they almost immediately picked up the pace.
Great job freshies( I don't think they'll read my blog but I'll say it anyway.), but there's still space for improvements though.
After that, dinner with the guys and then headed home.
Saturday was, uhm, interesting.
Went to bedok reservoir to support the guys for their competition/s.
It was their heats actually and they all went into semi-finals.
Dinner at Tampines mall met up with JunRui(aka Jeff) passed him his paddle and headed home.
Today was, uhm, more interesting?
Headed down to bedok reservoir as early as 9am in the morning and was the guys' reporting time.
But, when I reached the place, I only saw Zul/Helmi and was thinking where were the people living in the east.
Lol.
Then one by one, the guys came.
Events started.
First to row was shawn and some other SeaHawk people and they asked me to be their drummer.
I was actually freaking out silently and didn't know whether it was confirmed.
So I was relaxing with myself talking to the guys, someone tapped my shoulder and told me it's time to go.
I was like freaking out to myself already.
Grabbed a pdf and went to the boat where sh people+shawn were neatly seated.
So as the boat pulled out from the dock/floating platform thingy/pontoon, the boat rocked to the left and to the right.
My natural instincts came and I countered it by going either way and prevent me from falling.
Bahh.
I didn't know I wasn't supposed to do that until the coxswain, Jackson, told me not to do that.
Dumb or what.
I tell you, if you're ever a drummer in a dragonboat race, you would want to get a cushion or maybe a few bumpads stuck together.
Why?
Because the drummer's seat is so tiny and made of wood, it hurts for like maybe 1-2hours by just sitting on it for 4-5mins.
But it was a really great experience man(:
Really had fun being a drummer((:
After the semi-finals ended, the results were of that kok's boat came in 4th or 5th(I'm just guessing) lech's boat came in 2nd.
Finals, lech and some sh people went to row and came in 4th.
Brother, don't be sad about it.
You still have other chances to win the medals back(:
Went for dinner with Andy, Alvin and John and headed home with slight headache.
Bahh.
Anyway, the following is a reply to someone's blog.
Those who know, please don't say anything.
Oh really? telling me to back off?
Puh-lease, I'm just using reversed pyscology on her, what's the big deal?
You yourself said that we need to be fierce/harsh on her for her to improve.
And saying I'm a selfish person who don't even care about improvements of my team's members and I don't motivate them?
OH-MY-GOD.
I wouldn't even not care about them when they're down or hurt, what makes you think I don't care about their improvements?
Sigh.
I don't know what to do actually.
I think it's one of her mood swing days or maybe it's just that she went for race and I don't send nice messages to motivate her or maybe it's because she thinks that I took away her best friend.
Sigh.
Should I cut off all ties with friends who are really really close to her?
Think.
