Like I was saying yesterday, I just finished a 5d4n camp with a mix of Singaporean students and Indonesian students.
It was really really fun because I could see my group's effort unfold right infront of me. I really appreciate the help of the Singaporeans. I'll definitely miss saying SINDOS OI!
During this camp itself made me realise that language barrier isn't a problem if you break the ice properly and also if you talk patiently with the students.
So, first day was kinda chaotic because it's too flexible and we trainers were kinda don't know what are we supposed to do. We were initially told to only do rockwall climbing and crc but, when Amanda and I went to the high ele area, we were puzzled that the zipline and abseiling were opened but oh well, my group did rockwall first then zipline.
While we were finishing zipline, the first batch of Indonesian students arrived and all the Singaporean students were super excited. So, after high elements, the students were handed over to Kai wet at the faa and we trainers went to fetch the Indo students from the canteen.
That was the first time the indo students saw the sin students. I really really thank god my students wasn't much of a problem.
By the third day the indo students were wanting to go shopping badly, so had briefing with Shang on wednesday before trainers' briefing and programs were changed. Relfections at Bukit Chandu and Hort Park were scraped and in comes Shopping at Mustafa Centre on thursday.
Seriously, Mustafa Centre was crowded with bangalas but at least the safety aspects of everything made me feel safer since it was my first time there. So I got mysef an anti frizz/hair moisture hair serum thingy, dove body spray and bangles for me and my two sisters.
OHOH! For heritage trail we went to Little India and Chinatown. I bought henna and my students had some hands-on with it
It was really fun la I tell you.
Since it was a 5d4n camp the bonding that was with the group was stronger than before ant at the blink of an eye, Campers' night came and went. Tears flowed to Vitamin C's Graduation. After I found my group huddled together, I found myself crying together with them.
The atmostphere at that point of time was really emotional but at least it gave the feeling of accomplishment that I gave my best and the results came out really good.
But, I MISS SINDOS! :C

Okay, I shall go start grabbing photos.
P/S: I feel so weird to be at home now. One week in camp made me feel that trainers' dorm is my home. Oh well.
